Welcome to my LORD IGMs Page.
Welcome to my LORD IGMs page for the Legend of the Red Dragon
BBS door game. The current official version is v4.06, with v4.07 in
beta development by Michael Preslar, for
Metropolis Gameport. LORD was created by Seth Robinson. My other LORD
web-pages include the LORD Links Page,
the LORD II IGMs Page, the
Tournament LORD IGMs Page, the LORD Utilities
Page, and the LORD Menusets Page. There are
241 LORD IGMs listed - approximately - in all, with about half on them stored
on my LORD IGMs: Misc IGMs Page. It is for those
IGMs which can't be classified as usable, due to RTE200 or other problems.
All LADY Scripts by myself and friends are listed here. Various non-IGM
LORD files are listed in tables. Files released since October 2003 are
marked with a graphics icon.
To get an LORD program into distribution online, and in Fidonet's
LORD files base, send it/them to me. All LORD programs that I process are
posted to my Camelot LordNews
FDN site. I am the only official Fidonet files distributor that I
know of, who specifically handles LORD programs. I also will handle
any non-LORD files that are used in BBS door/IGM programming. My
other subsidiary LORD pages are: (1) the revamped
Trentsoft LORD IGMs Page Archive; and the
LORD IGMs: Misc. IGMs Page. Special Notes:
New IGMs, released by me, or by close friends, are posted to the
LordApps site directory. "Fully Supported"
notations are used for IGMs whose authors are actually available via
email, and who provide support for them. This page is graphics-intensive,
so please be patient while the pictures load.

With three exceptions, all work under LORD v4.05, v4.06, v4.07
and v4.08 beta. DragonPoop #2, The Gem Fairy and The Troll
#2 each use Fairy coding, which requires LORD v4.07 or v4.08
beta. Version numbers are not always current. LORD/32 Note:
All scripts listed should work fine with LORD/32 for Windows v4.07

The
L.O.R.D. Junkyard v1.00 37 KB -- Gems line in Config is Unusable.
Causes DOS session freeze-up. 9-IGM Limit. Writes data to top of
3rdparty.dat file. Unable to tell if it actually does anything for
the player.

To register the IGM, use John Hutton for Sysop Name, Public Domain
for BBS Name, and 0889069706 for Registration Code. Data must be
used EXACTLY as shown without substitutions.
RTE200-Patched IGMs that are subject to the LORD 4.02+ maint.bat
crash problem. Otherwise, they appear to work satisfactorily after
patching.
Oasis of El-Sayal v1.1p. 06/01/03 Note: In Local Mode
game play, the LORD v4.07 beta has been fixed to remove the maint.bat
problem.
Note: These IGMs in their original distribution form, will not
work on a Pentium II+ system, until they are patched for RunTime
Error 200 problem. Each has been re-tested and proven to work after
patching at 933 Mhz, on a Pentium III system. Testing was done using
05/27/02 compilation of LORD v4.07 beta. They have to be patched
using the ctbppat.exe RTE200 patch utility. Due to wording in IGM
docs, none of these may be distributed online. If you want my
patch archive, send email request. None of these will be released
on an Internet FTP server, or on my Fidonet FDN site. 9-IGM Limit -
means IGM has to be installed into 3rdparty.dat that has ONLY 8 or
less IGM install entries in it.
Unusable in Local Mode IGMs
Section:
IGM Notes: Aragorn's Timer v1.10 update - adds binary garbage to
3rdparty.dat. Requires a node.dat file. Lordy Note: It does not
work (in Local Mode) due to problems with memory stack usage. K9 IGMs
Note: Contains 4 small IGMs, names are: The Holy Grail, Merlin's
Dogs, Milo's Market, and The Wheel.
04/05/02 Notice: I've relocated the two tables listing unusable
LORD IGMs to cam6data.htm. They contain IGMs
that do not work on a 933 Mhz Pentium III system. Some/Most are known
to work on BBS's running slower systems. Reworded 05/18/02.
02/11/06: Learned from Adam Geitgey that his Pool of Transformation
igm's source code is lost.
LORD IGMs Support Files

Windows-ME Hostile IGMs
Listing Section:
These five IGMs do not work under Windows ME, so they can't be
reclassified as Usable. Lord Life caused a total Windows ME system crash.
The three patched Axehandler IGMs have unusable setup programs. They just
create a "black hole" effect when run, and you have to close the DOS
session manually. Old Man's Church was unstable, rendering my LORD game
unusable until the system was rebooted. 09/30/02. 03/30/05 Note:
Lord Life igm is now supported by Doug Rhea, webmaster of the
BBSFiles.Com web-site.
Current IGM Updates Work
Summary:
Accessible LORD Authors: As of January 2007, these
are the ONLY known programmers that you can actually reach to
get support for their LORD programs. Myself, Michael Preslar,
Jay Hodges, Bryan Turner, Paul Koukos, and Marty Blankenship.
No valid email address is known for Ken Weitzel, who has stopped
developing LORD programs.

Notes: As of May 2007, no one else is known to be
working on DOS LORD IGMs or Utilities. Only Jay Hodges and myself

There has been *NO* LORD II programming done that I am aware of,
in the past two+ years. The only person doing WT-LORD IGMs
programming is Joseph Watson. Tournament LORD development has
been totally dead for three+ years.
